Police: Albany woman charged in Schenectady stabbing

SCHENECTADY - An Albany woman has been charged with stabbing a man multiple times Friday evening, authorities said.

Gabrielle Richards, 29, of North Swan Street, was arrested shortly after the incident and charged with one count of second-degree assault, a felony.

Richards is accused of using a knife to stab the man multiple times at an Osterlitz Avenue address, causing injuries to the man's forehead, chest and abdomen, according to police allegations.

The victim was taken to Albany Medical Center for treatment.

Richards was arraigned and ordered held on $5,000 bail. She remained in custody Tuesday and is due back in court later this week.
