A Clifton Park man has been arrested, accused of possessing child pornography, state police said.

Karl R. Lurz, 24, of Clifton Park, was arrested Thursday and charged with possession and promotion of a sexual performance by a child, felonies, state police said Tuesday.

Lurz is accused of possessing and uploading child pornography to the internet. The investigation stemmed from a cyber tip received by the New York State Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

He was arrested at his residence by troopers, with the assistance of the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit, and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Lurz was issued an appearance ticket and released to appear in court later, state police said.
