ALBANY — A large run helped the Siena women’s basketball team head into Sunday’s halftime at Times Union Center with a slim lead, but Marist dominated in the second half to secure a 78-55 MAAC win.

Rebekah Hand scored 32 points on 14 of 17 shooting to lead Marist, which also received 20 points from Alana Gilmer. For Siena, Sabrina Piper scored 18 points.

After falling behind 19-4, Siena (6-8, 8-15) used a 19-0 run to pull ahead of Marist (13-2, 20-4). The Saints led first-place Marist 33-32 at halftime, but Marist outscored the Saints 24-10 in the third quarter before putting together a 22-12 fourth.
