NEW SCOTLAND — A benefit is scheduled Sunday at Indian Ladder Farms for the family of the late Jeremy Hosier, owner of Westmere Beverage.

The event will start at 2 p.m. and feature live music from Graham Tichy Band; food from the Indian Ladder Farms kitchen, Slidin' Dirty, and City Beer Hall; $5 draft beers; bonfires; and a raffle for prizes including a variety of rare beers and other donated goods.

Hosier died Feb. 6, leaving his wife of eight years, Alison, and son, Julian. He was well known and loved in the craft beer community, operating a retail business with one of the largest selections of beer and sharing his extensive knowledge with others. He also was founder of Steadfast Brewing Company, a brewery focused on gluten-free beers.

Those unable to attend but wishing to help can contribute to Julian’s college fund via Ugift  at ugift529.com, Ugift code C2A-E1P.
