ST. JOHNSVILLE - Three Montgomery County residents have been charged in connection with an underage drinking party held at an Airbnb in St. Johnsville, Montgomery County Sheriff's officials said Thursday.
The incident happened March 14, according to the release.
The investigation began that day after the sheriff's office received an anonymous tip of an underage drinking party at an address on Crum Creek Road, officials said. The source had received an invitation over Snapchat.
Deputies, with assistance from state police, responded to the address and determined that three people had organized the party where individuals under the age of 21 were being served alcohol. The three rented the location through Airbnb and sent out invitations through Snapchat, officials said.
Deputies seized "numerous" alcoholic beverages, as well as a quantity of marijuana and cash proceeds collected at the door, officials said.
Officials identified the three people accused of organizing the party as Justin E. Salliey, 18, of Amsterdam; Angelia G. Williams, 19, of Fonda, and Koshon N. Tuff, 18, of Fonda.
The three were cited under Montgomery County's social host law and released to appear in Town of St. Johnsville Court.
