Teams from two Capital Region high schools were recently featured on the 11 p.m. edition of ESPN's "SportsCenter" Senior Night.
On Wednesday, the Schalmont boys' basketball team was recognized by "SportsCenter" host Scott Van Pelt. The Sabres won the Section II Class B championship.

Then on Thursday, the Shenendehowa boys' and girls' basketball teams were honored by Van Pelt. Both squads won Section II Class AA championships.
Van Pelt has been honoring high school and college seniors since the sports world shut down because of the coronavirus pandemic.The segment started March 15, two days after he asked for clips.
On Friday night, the Cambridge girls' basketball team was honored. Van Pelt was off. Brian Anderson and Kenny Mayne were hosting "SportsCenter."
