SCHENECTADY - One person was sent to the hospital after an early Sunday three-vehicle crash in downtown Schenectady, according to information available at the scene.

The crash happened just after midnight at the corner of State and Clinton streets in Schenectady and left a minivan on its side.

The driver of the minivan was trapped inside as firefighters worked to free him for nearly an hour, according to information available. The driver was sent to the hospital. An update on the driver's condition was not available later.

Another vehicle sustained front-end damage, but remained upright.
