BALLSTON SPA - A South Glens Falls man possessed a car stolen from a Ballston Spa Stewart's Shop Monday, state police said.
Troopers arrested the man after he abandoned the car and fled on foot as troopers went to pull him over, state police said.
Tyler S. Moon, 34, faces one count each of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and tampering with physical evidence, felonies.
The owner of the car reported to state police that someone had taken his car from the Stewart's on Route 9 in Ballston Spa, state police said.
Troopers then found the car at about 5 p.m. and attempted to stop it on the Interstate 87 northbound off ramp, state police said.
Moon then stopped the car on the exit ramp, exited the car and ran. Patrols soon took him into custody, state police said.
Moon was found in possession of multiple dosage units of Suboxone, some of which he attempted to consume in order to conceal the evidence, state police said.
Moon was processed and released to appear in court next month.
