SCHENECTADY - A motorcyclist was injured early Thursday after crash involving another vehicle on Interstate 890, state police said.

The motorcyclist, identified as Ronald Singh, 38, of Schenectady, was taken to Albany Medial Center with injuries described as non-life-threatening, state police said.

The driver of the other vehicle, identified as Randy Dinaram, 24, of Schenectady, was not injured.

The crash happened at about 2:25 a.m. on Interstate 890, near the Cotton Factory Hollow Bridge and Exit 5 off ramp.

The motorcyclist attempted to exit the interstate and pulled in front of the other vehicle. The other vehicle was then unable to keep from striking the rear of the motorcycle, state police said. 

Further information was not immediately available Thursday afternoon.
