ALBANY -- A 23-year-old Troy man was arrested Friday night after he allegedly shot another man after the two got into a dispute over a motor vehicle crash, Albany police said.
Police became aware of the incident about 9:55 p.m., after Albany Medical Center staff alerted them that a man had walked into the emergency room with a gunshot wound to the shoulder.
The 20-year-old victim, whose injuries were not considered life-threatening, told police that he had been involved in a crash at the intersection of Madison Avenue and Lark Street, and that he and the other driver got into an argument. He said the man shot him with a handgun and fled on foot.
An investigation led to the arrest of Jose Cepeda-Solis of Troy, who faces charges including first-degree reckless endangerment and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both felonies. He was arraigned in Albany City Court and sent to the Albany County Correctional Facility, police said.
