SCHENECTADY — Nine people have been displaced following a fire at 633 Crane St. in Schenectady Thursday night.

Residents escaped without injury, but two firefighters suffered minor injuries, said Assistant Fire Chief Don Mareno, including one that was heat-related.

The city Fire Department received the call at 10 p.m. and arrived to find flames shooting from the attic.

There was no damage to neighboring buildings.

Mareno said the cause is still under investigation, but doesn’t appear to be suspicious.
