SCHENECTADY — Antonio Delgado has released his first television advertisement in his general election bid to represent the 19th Congressional District on Tuesday.
The ad does not mention his opponent, Rep. John Faso, R-Kinderhook. It focuses on his Schenectady roots.
"My parents were employed at General Electric and knew that through hard work and dedication they could pull our family up into the middle class, and that’s what they did," Delgado said. "Growing up the rules were simple: work hard, do your homework and go to church."
The ad shows Delgado's first childhood home, in Hamilton Hill, and then a plot of land where his parents built a new house.
The ad will be shown throughout the 19th District and is the first of either campaign to be aired in the general election cycle.
