It's that time of year again - football time.
And once again I am going head to head against the Gazette's Ken Schott, trying to repeat as the paper's football picks champion.
As always, the winning teams are in caps.
And if you're looking for Ken's picks, here they are.
Green Bay Packers at CHICAGO BEARS - If memory serves, the Bears were actually kind of good last year? And the Packers ... not so good?
Los Angeles Rams at CAROLINA PANTHERS - Is Cam healthy? Yes? Then I'm picking the Panthers. Don't try to stop me!
Tennessee Titans at CLEVELAND BROWNS - Browns win their home opener!
Kansas City Chiefs at JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS - I expect a good regular season fun from the Chiefs. As for the post-season, well ...
BALTIMORE RAVENS at Miami Dolphins - I expect the Dolphins to win some meaningless games at the end of the season, after they're eliminated from post-season contention.
Atlanta Falcons at MINNESOTA VIKINGS - Will a rejuvenated Kirk Cousins lead the Vikings to victory? Sure, why not.
Buffalo Bills at NEW JERSEY JETS - I'm picking the Jets because they're at home. It's as simple as that.
Washington at PHILADELPHIA - Fly, Eagles Fly! as my colleague Ken Schott might say.
Indianapolis Colts at LOS ANGELES CHARGERS - I wouldn't have picked the Colts to win this game with Andrew Luck at QB, and I'm certainly not going to pick them without him.
Cincinnati Bengals at SEATTLE SEAHAWKS - Not sure what to expect from either of these teams this season, but the Seahawks look like the better all-around-team.
Detroit Lions at ARIZONA CARDINALS - The most mediocre game of the week?
New York Giants at DALLAS COWBOYS - Eli's still starting?
SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS at Tampa Bay Buccaneers - I like Jimmy Garoppolo better than Jameis Winston.
Pittsburgh Steelers at NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS - You know I never pick against the Pats.
Houston Texans at NEW ORLEANS SAINTS - Drew Brees will throw for 1 million yards!
DENVER BRONCOS at Oakland Raiders - I don't really understand what's going on with Antonio Brown, but it seems like a harbinger of doom. The Raiders are a mess, and I don't see that changing any time soon.
