The Toys R Us in Queensbury, which was included on a closure list last week, is "staying open," according to a social media post from a store account.
The message was posted on Instagram about 10 a.m. Saturday on the @truglensfalls account.
Bloomberg reported last week that some stores listed as closing may remain open as the company won court approval to pay landlords to extend a 210-day deadline to possibly negotiate new lease terms before finalizing which locations will shutter. Some on the shutdown list may still be able to stay open until after the 2018 holiday season.
The store manager in Queensbury confirmed to The Post-Star that the location will remain open, but referred further questions to corporate. The store has been open since 1996, according to The Post-Star.
The Babies R Us in Latham was among 182 on last week's closure list.
