SCHENECTADY -- The Wright Family Foundation has awarded $30,000 to the Schenectady Hindu Cultural Center.

The funding supports the repairs and capital improvements to the organization’s building, which dates to 1905. The center serves approximately 7,000 visitors annually, and is a meeting place for all ethnicities and cultures.

The Wright Family Foundation was created in 1997 with a large financial gift from the SI Group, which was formed in 1906 as Schenectady Varnish by W. Howard Wright.
