Free Colon Cancer Screening for Uninsured Individuals Age 45 to 64

If you are 45 and older, you should be screened for colon cancer.

  • Screening can find cancer early when treatment works best.
  • Screening tests can also find growths that can be removed before cancer starts.
  • It’s simple! The FIT (fecal immunochemical test) is an easy-to-do screening kit that is done in the privacy of your own home.

The Cancer Services Program (CSP) of Fulton, Montgomery and Schenectady counties is urging all individuals age 45 and older to get screened for colon cancer.

If you are age 45-64 and do not have have health insurance, you may be eligible for a free FIT kit through the CSP.
