Some people put away their formal clothing on New Year’s Day. Others keep top hats and tuxedos ready for other January events. The first days of a new year are often times when groups and societies install and introduce new personnel. Some people dressed informally for their inductions — but these men and women all seemed glad to be part of their groups during the first days of 1969.
