The “What a Hoot!” a festival was established to raise money for local causes in Coxsackie. Fifty-one owl sculptures, made by artists from across the country, were installed in late May, all over town. At the end of September they were auctioned off at a gala to raise money for the Coxsackie Food Pantry, Friends of the Library, Sleepy Hollow Helping Hands, Coxsackie PAL, and C-A Scholarship. Some of the owls migrated to the lawns of private homes, the interior of shops and other businesses and some kept their perches. When you're exploring town, see how many you can spot.
