Kevin Kissling has more than 27 years of financial and operational experience at Eastern National, a nonprofit retail partner of the National Park Service. Kevin’s career started in the accounting department where his responsibilities included preparing corporate financial statements, developing annual operating budgets and performing internal audits. After eight years, he became regional manager in the Philadelphia region, overseeing store operations at high-profile destinations including Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. Under Kevin’s leadership, annual revenue in the region grew 250 percent from 1996-2006.
In 2007, Kevin transferred to Eastern National’s headquarters in Fort Washington, PA where he served as Business Development Manager and Operations Manager. Since 2011, he has been the Chief Operating Officer, overseeing all aspects of store operations in 160 national parks and other public trust sites located in 30 states, the District of Columbia and the Caribbean. In addition to providing leadership for the company’s retail division, Kevin is responsible for the direction of the Publications, Information Technology, Inventory Replenishment and e-Commerce departments. Eastern National’s Board of Directors recently approved management’s succession plan for Kevin to move into the Chief Executive Officer position at the end of 2015 when the current CEO transitions to the role of Board Chair. Eastern National’s annual revenue for fiscal year 2014 was $33 million and its net income from operations was $2.9 million.
Kevin has been volunteering on the Whitemarsh Township Parks and Recreation Advisory Board since 2003 and currently serves as Board Chair. He is an adult leader and merit badge counselor with the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 140. Kevin previously volunteered with Conshohocken Little League for 11 years and Conshohocken Catholic CYO for 5 years.
Kevin graduated from Peirce College with an Associate’s degree in Accounting and Finance and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management.
