Jake Lahut joined The Gazette in May 2018 after teaching English and freelancing in Paris. He has previously written for Politico and The Albany Times Union, as well as working as a research assistant at The New Yorker for Mark Singer. Lahut is a Niskayuna native and Albany Academy alumnus, where he was the editor of the school paper. A graduate of Wesleyan University, Lahut also served as editor-in-chief of both the college newspaper and political review while studying in the College of Letters.
